Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Wewox OÜ (“Wewox”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit wewox.io and when you use our products. We are committed to handling your data with care and in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

01Who we are

Wewox OÜ is a private limited company registered in Estonia under registry code 17425784, with its registered office at Ruunaoja tn 3, Lasnamäe linnaosa, 11415 Tallinn, Harju maakond, Estonia. For any privacy matter you can reach us at info@wewox.io. Wewox is the data controller for the processing described in this policy.

02Data we collect

On this website we keep data collection to a minimum. We process:

  • Contact details you provide — when you use our contact form we process your name, email address and the contents of your message so we can respond.
  • Technical data — basic, privacy-respecting information such as your approximate region and device type that our hosting provider processes to deliver and secure the site.
  • Preferences — your chosen language and light or dark theme, stored locally in your browser.

Our individual products may process additional data needed to provide their features. Where that is the case, the practices are described inside each product and, where required, in a product-specific notice.

03How we use your data

  • To respond to your enquiries and provide support.
  • To operate, secure and improve our website and products.
  • To comply with our legal obligations.

04Legal bases

Under the GDPR we rely on the following legal bases: your consent (which you can withdraw at any time); the performance of a contract with you; our legitimate interests in running and securing our business; and compliance with legal obligations.

05Cookies & analytics

Our website does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking. We use only what is strictly necessary to make the site work and to remember your preferences. If we introduce privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics in future, we will update this policy first.

06Sharing & processors

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers who help us run our website and products, under appropriate data-processing agreements. These currently include our hosting and email-delivery providers. Some products rely on additional processors — for example, cloud infrastructure used by R.Chat — which are described within the product.

07International transfers

Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

08Data retention

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described here, or as required by law. Contact-form messages are kept for as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterwards.

09Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@wewox.io. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon, aki.ee).

10Children

Our website is not directed at children. Our social product, R.Chat, is intended for users aged 18 and over.

11Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit and at rest and strict access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work continuously to protect your information.

12Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above reflects the latest version, and material changes will be highlighted on this page.

13Contact
